PARSIPPANY, NJ— The Cendant Timeshare Resort Group has named John P. Cole senior vice president, consumer finance/receivables, effective immediately. Also, Cendants Hotel Group has appointed Paul Mason as director, tour accounts, in its Worldwide Sales department. In this newly created position, Cole will work closely with Cendant’s corporate and timeshare senior finance management team and oversee the consumer finance operations and receivables portfolios of Fairfield Resorts, Trendwest Resorts and Equivest Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of Cendant based in Syracuse, New York. Based here, Paul Mason will be responsible for the groups development of tour and leisure accounts in the Northeast in his new position. Going back, he is a travel industry veteran of 10 years, who began his career in 1993 with the Holiday Inn Downtown in Wilmington, DE, as director of sales. Cendants hotel portfolio consists of 6,595 open hotels representing 543,990 rooms on five continents under the Super 8, Days Inn, Ramada, Travelodge, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Villager, Wingate Inn and AmeriHost Inn brands. All hotels are individually owned and operated under franchise agreements with Cendant subsidiaries.
