ATLANTA— Cayman Brac in the Cayman Islands has launched the islands first official nature website— www.naturecayman.com— the first phase of a new initiative to encourage nature tourism in the islands, which the district’s administration has been developing for the last four years. A Little Cayman section will be activated as part of a second phase. The site, commissioned by the Cayman government, was developed by Brac Informatics Centre, an of e-business consultancy, in conjunction with 141 Communicator of Atlanta. It provides reports on the island, bird and diving information, trip planning, news and events. The second phase, scheduled to launch later this summer, will offer membership opportunities to those who register, with exclusive access to e-mail newsletters, message boards, giveaways and online photo galleries. According to District Commissioner Kenny Ryan, “The site was designed not only to educate potential tourists about the area, but to invite them to Cayman Brac to enjoy its beauty and abundant amenities.”
