Castle & Cooke Resorts Appoints President

LOS ANGELES— Castle & Cooke, Inc. announced the appointment of Gerrit Cormany to the position of President, Castle & Cooke Resorts LLC in Lanai, Hawaii. David Murdock, chairman/CEO, stated, “Cormanys extensive experience in managing significant operations and his knowledge of real estate development will complement our current management team and help continue to improve and expand the operations on the Island of Lanai.” His responsibilities will include the management, operation and development of all activities on the Island of Lanai. Lanai is home to two award-winning resorts, two championship golf courses, and a community of luxury homes. The 250-room Manele Bay Hotel sits above a white sand beach at Hulopes Bay and features a world class 18-hole championship golf course designed by Jack Nicklaus. The 102-room Lodge at Koele is secluded among decades-old towering Cook Island pines at an elevation of 1,600 feet.
