FAIRFIELD, NJ— Carnegie Hotel Development Associates, a joint venture between a private investment group and Paramount Hotel Group, a hotel management and ownership group, has broken ground on the first Residence Inn by Marriott to be built in Princeton, NJ. The 120-suite, extended-stay property is scheduled to open in spring 2004. Located at 3563 U.S. Route 1, the area’s primary business corridor, the Residence Inn Princeton is in the heart of the Carnegie Center Office Park, a 450-acre, upscale office park, currently with more than 2 million square feet of office space. It is adjacent to Market Fair Mall and is one mile from Princeton University/Palmer Square. Features at the property will include studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom suites, each with a fully equipped kitchen, including coffee maker, microwave oven and full-sized refrigerators and stoves. Each room will also be equipped with high-speed Internet access. The property’s meeting facilities will be capable of handling up to 50 people. —Shannon McMullen
