CARMEL VALLEY, CA—Carmel Valley Ranch, a 500-acre resort near Big Sur, has completed a $20-million renovation.
Enhancements include the addition of 30 indoor-outdoor suites, a new adults-only pool and a reimagined Valley Kitchen farm-to-table restaurant featuring an outdoor dining terrace, fresh produce from its organic farm and its first-ever wine releases from the resort’s vineyard.
The resort also introduced experiential programming led by the artisans of the resort, including an archery program, a well-being workshop with horses, wine-education classes and bird-watching excursions.
Kristina Jetton, general manager of Carmel Valley Ranch, noted, “Through our new suites, culinary offerings and activities, we continue to stay true to our roots of offering a quintessential California experience of the best of what guests enjoyed at summer camp and endless options for creative learning.”
Carmel Valley Ranch offers 181 guest suites, the 10,500-sq.-ft. Spa Aiyana, restaurant and bar, three pools, an 18-hole Pete Dye-designed golf course, a farmstead experience with a two-acre organic garden, four-acre vineyard, apiary, salt house, hen house and equestrian program.
