LAS VEGAS— At Carlson Hospitality Worldwide’s 2002 Annual Business Conference, being held here at the MGM Grand from Feb. 18-20, executives will encourage attendees to return their focus to individual customer and trust in The Power Of One. “It is meant to focus on getting down to the basics, focusing on the customers,” said a spokesperson for Carlson, adding that all of the company’s hospitality brands are centered around the same thing- customers. One of the highlights of the conference is expected to be the keynote address from Curtis Nelson, president/CEO of Carlson, which kicks off the conference. Nelson will reiterate The Power Of One theme, explaining how all of the company’s resources can be used to drive results for each of the brands. The conference theme is also indicative of Carlson’s new corporate division, launched four months ago, which is designed to improve customer relationship management (CRM) and focus on creating operational excellence throughout the company by improving customer service. — Diana M.
