Carlson To Kick Off Annual Business Conference

CANCUN, MEXICO Carlson Hotels Worldwide is set to kick off its annual business conference on Sunday, April 1, here at the Fiesta Americana Coral Beach hotel.

Themed “Fast Forward,” the conference will run through Thursday, April 5, offering a number of general sessions, brand meetings and breakout sessions focusing on Carlson s hotel products, as well as industry issues.

Highlights will include a Monday morning keynote address by Eric Danziger, president and COO of Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Joining Danziger at the kickoff will be Peter Blyth, evp, development for Radisson; Tom Huffsmith, president, Regent International Hotels; Nancy Johnson, vp/sales and marketing for Regent, and Jetse Pottinga, evp/Park Hospitality. On Tuesday, Jay Witzel, president and COO of Radisson Hotels & Resorts, will hold an hour-long Town Hall Meeting for Radisson property executives.

Other highlights of the conference will include presentations by Rick Barrera, president, Rick Barrera and Associates, who will speak about “High-Tech Management” to teach attendees “practical, action-oriented steps to capitalize on key trends that drive the future of management, marketing, sales and customer service delivery.”

Ron Zemke, president of Performance Research Associates, meanwhile, will draw on his best-selling “Knock Your Socks Off Services” to help attendees distinguish their customer service, while giving them tools to coach employees toward winning performances at the front line.

Carlson Hotels Worldwide owns the Regent, Radisson, Country Inns & Suites brands. Through a joint venture with Olympus Real Estate Corp. it owns the Park Plaza and Park Inn flags.
