MINNEAPOLIS— Carlson Hotels Worldwide has promoted three top executives to additional responsibilities in the companys leadership structure, among them, Jay Witzel, president of Radisson Hotels & Resorts, has been named executive vice president of Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Witzel will continue to serve as president of Radisson but will also have overall responsibility for Carlson Hotels with the other hotel brand presidents and leaders reporting to him. Paul Kirwin, president of Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, has been named executive vice president of Carlson Hotels of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Kirwin will also continue to serve as the president of Country Inns & Suites as he takes on additional responsibility to execute the strategy of Carlson Hotels in this economic region. Trudy Rautio, CFO for Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, has been named chief administrative officer of Carlson Hotels Worldwide. Rautio will continue to serve in the CFO position, with additional responsibility for administrative and support functions Curtis Nelson, president/CEO of Carlson Hospitality Worldwide, said that these promotions provide enhanced leadership to key areas of business operation and support the strategy of global consumer solutions across the enterprise.
