MINNEAPOLIS—Carlson Hotels is continuing in an expansion mode, and added 15 new locations to its global portfolio of brands in June and July. These additions bring Carlsons portfolio to 933 hotels with more than 145,000 rooms in 71 countries. The new locations include two Radisson Hotels and Resorts properties in New York City and New Jersey; two Radisson SAS Hotels and Resorts properties in Tunisia and Switzerland; eight Country Inns and Suites By Carlson hotels in the U.S., plus one in Canada; one Park Plaza Hotel and Resort in New Mexico; and one Park Inn by Rezidor SAS in Europe. The newest hotels in the Radisson Hotels and Resorts portfolio are the Radisson Hotel Martinique New York-Broadway in New York City, and the newly built Radisson Hotel Carteret in New Jersey. The two new Radisson SAS properties include the new Radisson SAS Resort and Thalasso on the island of Djerba in Tunisia, and the Radisson SAS Hotel in Lucerne, Switzerland. With the addition of the brands ninth hotel in July, Country Inn and Suites By Carlson celebrated a company milestone— the opening of its 400th hotel. This property is the 100-room Country Inn and Suites By Carlson in Portage, IN. Other new Country Inns are in Waldorf, MD; Queensbury, NY; Little Chute, WI; Boone, NC; Berea, KY; Loudon, TN; Marquette, MI; and London, Ontario, Canada. The new Park Plaza Hotel is located in Albuquerque, NM; and the new Park Inn is in Sárvár, Hungary. Carlson hotel brands also include Regent International Hotels.
