SEDONA, AZ— Carlson Hotels Worldwide is expanding its business relationship with the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation in Arizona following the tribal nations acquisition of the Radisson Poco Diablo Resort here. Earlier this year, Carlson inked a franchise agreement with the same group for their new-build, 250-room Radisson resort in Fort McDowell, AZ. That resort will be located next to the Fort McDowell Casino, about 25 miles northeast of Phoenix. It is scheduled to open in late 2005. The 137-room Radisson Poco Diablo Resort is located one mile from Sedona and 90 miles from downtown Phoenix, and features a nine-hole golf course. Meeting space totaling 8,500 square feet can accommodate up to up to 300 persons. Each meeting room is well equipped with portable, sound resistant walls, individual climate controls, multiple electrical and microphone outlets.
