WICHITA, KS- Candlewood Hotel Company reported results for the third quarter of 2000, marking the companys 11th consecutive quarter of double-digit RevPAR growth. Total hotel operating revenues for the three-month period ended September 30, 2000 were $34.8 million, compared to $30.1 million for third quarter 1999. Income from hotel operations for the third quarter 2000 increased 23% to $16.3 million, compared to $13.2 million for the same period in 1999. RevPAR increased 10% to $46.24 with an average daily rate (ADR) of $59.92 for the third quarter of 2000, compared to RevPAR of $42.04 and ADR of $58.80 for the third quarter of 1999. The average occupancy for the third quarter of 2000 was 77.2%, compared to 71.5% for the third quarter of 1999. (11/9/00)
