ATLANTA— Swissôtel Atlanta recently announced that Cadillac has become the “official vehicle” of the 365-room property in Buckhead. Swissôtel and Cadillac have teamed up to make available two luxury vehicles to provide guests with complimentary transportation within a two-mile radius of the hotel, according to Kimberley Lowthers, director/sales and marketing for the property. The vehicles include a 2002 Cadillac Escalade, a luxury sport utility vehicle, and a 2003 Cadillac CTS. “Cadillac is a natural complement to Swissôtel Atlanta’s distinctive image with its luxury feel and impressive performance and style,” Lowthers said. “Cadillac is widely recognized as a premier mode of transportation and we are pleased to offer this service to suit the needs of our guests.” Pairing Cadillac with the Swissôtel Atlanta is “an ideal partnership,” according to John Orth, regional division marketing manager for Cadillac, who cited “Cadillac’s approach to car design and Swissôtel’s avant garde style.” “Cadillac’s modern and upscale vehicles are a perfect complement to Swissôtel Atlanta’s contemporary elegance and together can present a beneficial amenity to hotel guests,” Orth added. Lowthers noted that the hotel prefers to use luxury vehicles for transporting guests as opposed to the more traditional shuttle buses.“In the past we have enjoyed partnerships with Lincoln,” she said. The Swissôtel Atlanta has three drivers on its staff to transport guests to various destinations between the hours of 8 a.m. and 11 p.m. While most of the trips are within two miles of the hotel, “airport service and other service are feasible when asked for in advance,” Lowthers said. The Cadillac Escalade seats eight and the CTS seats five. Both are black and are equipped with the amenities Cadillac is known for including a computerized Driver Information Center, the OnStar satellite feature to avoid lock-outs, a CD player, air conditioning, cruise control and keyless entry. The Swissôtel Atlanta has had positive feedback to its new vehicles, according to Lowthers. “Guest response has been extremely favorable. They love the service and feel it is unique,” she said. “They usually ask questions about the vehicles” as well, she added. The hotel is located in Buckhead, Atlanta’s fashionable business, shopping and entertainment district. Guestrooms and suites have floor-to-ceiling windows with views of Buckhead and are furnished with handcrafted Biedermeier-style furnishings. Guestrooms have two-line phones with call waiting, voicemail and dataports; fax machines; high-speed Internet access; and entertainment centers. Swissôtel Atlanta has 24,000 square feet of meeting space including a 10,058-square-foot ballroom and 16 meeting rooms, three Swiss Executive Floors with concierge, and business center. Additionally, the hotel has Claiborne’s Salon offering a variety of fitness equipment, health services and beauty treatments.
