BUFFALO, NY— The Buffalo Niagara Convention & Visitors Bureau set a record for new bookings last month with 31 meetings, sporting events, conventions and special events, which will collectively bring in an estimated 8,723 people and have a potential economic impact of $4.29 million. The bulk of the bookings came from 12 sports tournaments including the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Cross Country Championships. The CVB is looking to book more amateur sporting events as well.
