CHICAGO—broughtonHotels has completed the renovations of three boutique hotels here: The Majestic Hotel, The Willows Hotel and City Suites Chicago.

California-based design firm AF Canta created the concept for the renovation. Originally built in the 1920s, each property features new guestroom and lobby furnishings, enhanced lighting, window treatments, linens, carpeting and custom artwork. iHome docks are now in all guestrooms and fiber optic internet has been installed in every hotel.

The 52-room Majestic Hotel offers the refined tranquility of an old-world, English country estate in the midst of Chicago, according to the company. The re-designed lobby features Art Deco crystal chandeliers, comfortable furnishings, a wall-length vintage photograph of Wrigley Field on stretched canvas and an expansive fireplace. The hotel’s guestrooms and suites now feature a color scheme with neutral tones, new linens and window coverings, velvet throws, new carpeting and wooden furniture. A meetings and event space that can accommodate up to 25 guests was also renovated.

The 55-room Willows Hotel, a landmark building that was a regular haunt of Al Capone, is Parisian-inspired. The highlight of the redesigned lobby is a fireplace, surrounded by communal gathering tables, rustic French country light fixtures and marble flooring. The redecorated guestrooms and suites include new furniture, carpeting, bed linens, and walls painted in a gray hue.

The 45-room City Suites Chicago’s lobby is highlighted by neutral décor, a corridor lined with natural wood beams, an expansive fireplace and black and white photography. According to the company, the redecorated guestrooms and suites offer the ambiance of a hip Chicago apartment and feature chic mid-Century modern touches with new light fixtures, black and white linens, new furniture and carpeting.
