YOUNGSTOWN, OH— Broadband Hospitality, a provider of high-speed Internet access (HSIA) to the hospitality industry, now has more than 10,000 hotel rooms installed or under contract. The company reached and passed the 10,000-room milestone earlier this month. One reason for Broadband Hospitality’s growth is the increasing demand for HSIA in hotels in every segment of the lodging industry. HSIA benefits a hotel by helping to increase occupancy and giving guests fast access to the Web, e-mail and their companies’ Virtual Private Networks. Broadband Hospitality now provides HSIA to 96 hotels in 19 states. The company recently signed an agreement with Cleveland-based Boykin Hospitality to install HSIA in four hotels in the following cities: Colorado Springs, CO; Sacramento, CA; Portland, OR and Kansas City, MO. Broadband Hospitality previously had installed HSIA in 12 Boykin properties. Broadband Hospitality also has partnered with companies such as CSM Lodging, DeBartolo Property Group, SJB Management Inc., Arlington Hospitality Inc., Leisure Hotels LLC, Group 10 Hotels, P & G Hospitality, and Alliance Hospitality. To help continue its growth, Broadband Hospitality plans to hire four additional sales representatives in the next few months. The company is seeking candidates for positions in Detroit, Cincinnati, Tennessee and the Virginia/Carolinas region.
