LONDON British-based First Choice has acquired Taurus, a Swiss holiday company, as part of its ongoing strategy of European expansion.

First Choice paid  $700,000 for a 95% stake in the group, which specializes in sending Swiss holiday-makers to Turkey, Tunisia and Europe. First Choice hopes to benefit from Taurus lower-cost beds and cheaper resort costs in these holiday destinations. (8/21/00)
