NASHVILLE, TN— Gaylord Entertainment has elevated David Breeding, AIA to the new position and responsibilities of vp – design and construction, reporting directly to Bennett Westbrook, vp – development for the company. Breeding joined Gaylord earlier this year as program director for Gaylord Opryland Texas Resort & Convention Center. In his new role, he will continue to oversee all phases of design and construction for Gaylord Opryland Texas, a 1,500-room hotel and 400,000-square-foot convention center scheduled to open in summer 2004 in the city of Grapevine, just minutes from the Dallas/Ft. Worth (TX) Airport. Additionally, Breeding will be responsible for the selection of design and construction teams, fee and contract negotiations, and establishing and maintaining project budgets and schedules for all future development plans. He will also develop internal department procedures and lead the Gaylord design and construction team. Prior to joining Gaylord, Breeding served as project manager for HDC International, and also served as project manager for RTKL Associates and Alamo Architects.
