BOSTON—The Boston Marriott Copley Place near Copley Square, owned by Host Hotels & Resorts, has completed a renovation of its Grand Ballroom and Back Bay Conference and Exhibition Hall, as well as its Atrium Lounge.
The 23,431-sq.-ft. Grand Ballroom has been refinished in a palette of grays and blues, along with tonal wallcoverings and plush custom carpet. The new color scheme enhances the ballroom’s three pre-existing chandeliers that were custom-created with 29,000 crystal pendants, according to the hotel. The ballroom continues to offer a state-of-the-art digital lighting and sound system; an easily accessible lighting grid; wired and wireless connectivity; and fiber-optic cabling. It divides into 11 sections, accommodating 3,640 for receptions and 1,990 for banquets.
The 22,500-sq.-ft. Back Bay Conference and Exhibit Hall has been refreshed with a color scheme of granite, gray and gold. This space can be used in its entirety for trade shows, accommodating 102 booths and up to 1,400 guests, or subdivided with either air walls or opaque glass panels into seven midsized meeting rooms, measuring 900 to 2,000 sq. ft.
Also newly redesigned in tones of gray, bronze, black and white, the third-floor Atrium Lounge provides a view of the Back Bay skyline for banquets or receptions up to 350.
The Boston Marriott Copley Place offers 70,000 sq. ft. of meeting facilities and 45 meeting rooms in downtown Boston. Included in the space offerings are 34 break-out rooms, from 500 to 1,500 sq. ft. each, plus 16,000 sq. ft. of pre-function areas.
