BOSTON— Guestrooms at the Boston Marriott Copley Place are sporting a new look, following a $21 million renovation. From furniture to bathroom fixtures, each of the over 1,000 standard guestrooms has been completely remodeled. The resulting design is classic and comfortable with a residential appeal. Beds offer a thick duvet with down pillows, cotton sheets, and all-new foam mattresses. Across from the bed, an elegant armoire holds a 27″ television monitor, a safe designed for laptop computers, complimentary coffee and tea service, and a small refrigerator. Guests can stock their own ice box with items of personal preference. Business travelers can utilize the guestrooms’ new two-tiered desks, featuring a lower tier on casters that can be rolled out to form an L-shaped office, or removed completely to another area of the room for dining purposes. On top of the desk is a bright reading lamp and two-line telephone, complimented by an ergonomic desk chair. The guestroom color palette is a mix of vibrant blues, greens, burgundies and golds. Wooden furnishings are finished in warm cherry tones and walls are decorated with regional artwork. Bathrooms have been remodeled with new cherry wood vanities, craftsmans four-tile porcelain floors, nickel wall sconces, local artwork, and a boldly patterned shower curtain. Guests who prefer concierge level accommodations enjoy all of these improvements, plus additional amenities, including complimentary bottled water, specialized bath products, and thick terry robes. The Concierge Lounge was also recently upgraded with new seating and cocktail service areas. The Boston Marriott Copley Place is located in the heart of Bostons Back Bay, convenient to downtown businesses, shopping and attractions.
