ATLANTIC CITY, NJ— Boyd Gaming Corp. announced today that Borgata Hotel, Casino and Spa has set Thursday, July 3, 2003 as its opening day, pending the receipt of final regulatory approvals. Borgata, which broke ground in September 2000, is a joint venture development of Boyd Gaming and MGM MIRAGE. Located at Renaissance Pointe in Atlantic City, the property features 2,002 guestrooms and suites, 125,000 square feet of gaming, 11 destination restaurants, 11 retail boutiques, a 50,000-square-foot spa, 70,000 square feet of event space and parking for 7,100 cars.
