PARSIPPANY, NJ— HOTEL BUSINESS® has learned that Bruce Bloom, who has been with Cendant since 1999, most recently serving as president/CEO of Knights Inns, may be leaving the company. In Cendants recent reorganization, Bloom was named svp/franchise administration services for Cendant Corporations Hotel Division. However, upon reflection, Bloom decided the post was not in line with his long term career objectives and he is actively evaluating other career opportunities, said a company spokesperson. Under Bruces leadership, Knights Inn developed a clear identity in the budget segment of the lodging industry, unveiled several targeted marketing programs, enhanced its operations and instituted a new customer-service culture. “He will truly be missed,” said the company spokesperson.
