OAKLAND, CA—The Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel has recently added an Electric Vehicle Charging Station to its list of amenities.

The Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel turned to Sun Country Highway, Best Western’s Endorsed Supplier of EV Charging equipment for the brand, to purchase and install the new 100-amp Charging Station. Christopher Misch, VP Sun Country Highway stated that “the CS-100 provides the fastest charge times and highest power rating available, up to 300% faster charging compared to 25 amp charges. This EV station can charge Tesla’s new Model S in the shortest time.  This charger means business.”

“The addition of the EV Charger gives us the ability to supply a unique service to a growing segment of the traveling market,” stated Mark Hochstatter, the property’s general manager. “Our property is only a few miles north of the Tesla production facility in Fremont and we have more and more electric vehicles in our parking lot each night.”

He added, “We’re also excited about the Green aspects of the Electric Vehicle movement and providing this EV Charging Station allows our patrons the ability to make that decision to go green with their vehicles.”

The Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel has a green program and the EV charging station is just the most recent addition. Earlier this year the hotel took the step to add composting to their reuse/recycle waste stream.

The Best Western Plus Bayside Hotel is owned and managed by East Bay Hotels, operating and contributing to hospitality in the Bay Area for over 30 years.
