PHOENIX Best Western s virtual hotel prototype program, which was launched at the brand s annual conference last month, takes prospective owners on a 360-degree virtual tour based on client input. The prototype provides options based on geographical location, lot-shape and size and individual preferences. Elements include hotel interior and exterior designs and the number of rooms and stories.

The first phase for the prototype project includes four of 11 hotel model designs that will be offered in total. They are:

  • Main Street is the most generic model, intended to be the most value-oriented with a style and level of detail applicable to all geographic regions.
  • Providence is based on the many charming establishments found along the east coast of the U.S.
  • Timberline is earmarked as a western lodge concept and could be used in any mountain resort or National Park setting.
  • New West targets the southwest region of the U.S. (11/15/00)
