PHOENIX—Best Western Hotels & Resorts has acquired Sweden Hotels—one of Scandinavia’s largest hotel groups. This acquisition will make Best Western the largest hotel brand in Sweden, bringing its total to 135 properties across the country, according to the company.
Sweden Hotels was founded in 1977 and has brought 59 properties to the company. The partnership with Best Western will provide hotels in Scandinavia enhanced support to meet the needs of contracted corporate business. Sweden Hotels will now be able to supply its hotels with better distribution, customer relations, marketing and purchasing. The partnership will also assist Best Western with the expansion of its new brand, SureStay Hotel Group, according to the company.
Best Western has more than 4,200 hotels in over 100 countries.
