LOS ANGELES Best Western International kicked off its 55th anniversary celebration with the launch of quality and brand enhancement initiatives including the adoption of Best Requests global amenities and standards; the development of 400 new hotels worldwide in 2001; and further harnessing e-commerce. The company reported on these important brand intiatives around the world at more than 10 press conferences on three continents. (1/16/01)
