PHOENIX—Best Western International has added three new hotels to the brand’s West African portfolio with eight properties open and five additional hotels in the pipeline.
The newest additions are the Best Western Plus Ajuji Hotel in Abuja, Nigeria and the Best Western Starfire Hotel in Lagos, Nigeria, giving the brand six hotels in Africa’s most populous country. Best Western also announced the addition of the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi, Ghana.
The Best Western Plus Ajuji Hotel is the brand’s second Plus hotel in Nigeria and the first Best Western in the country’s capital city. The 104-room property is located in the new Gudu District, after the Legislative Quarters in Apo, with a direct link access to the Central Business District and Abuja Domestic Airport and Nnamdi Azikiwe International airport.
The Best Western Starfire Hotel in located in Lagos, Nigeria and is adjacent to the city’s shopping district. The property has 40 guestrooms that include 24 standard rooms, 14 superior rooms and two junior suites. The hotel has a 24-hour, full-service restaurant offering continental and African cuisines.
Rounding out the brand’s West African additions is the Best Western Plus Atlantic Hotel in Takoradi. The property features 200 guestrooms. The hotel features a wide selection of dining and beverage outlets including a cocktail lounge, a pub, nightclub and a conference and banqueting hall.
