ATLANTA- Tom Arasi, who is leaving his post as president/upscale brands, North America for Bass Hotels & Resorts on October 31, told HOTEL BUSINESS that he will be starting his own company in the lodging industry.

Arasi said that he plans to focus on three areas of hospitality in his entrepreneurial venture: corporate restructurings, acquisitions, branding and e-commerce. He also indicated that he was interested in creating a mezzanine financing facility for hotel development. 9/12/00) –Shannon McMullen
