Balboa Inn Expansion Approved

NEWPORT BEACH, CA At a recently City Council meeting here, approval was given for an expansion of the Balboa Inn, located on the Balboa Peninsula, which will include the addition of 11 new guest suites, a spa and 2,000 square feet of retail space to the hotel. The California Coastal Commission ruled that the hotels owners have 30 days to pay about $50,000 in outstanding taxes before proceeding with the expansion. (1/11/01) SOURCE:The Los Angeles Times
