SANTA BARBARA, CA— Gillian Balance, sommelier of Bacara Resort & Spa, said a series of winemaker dinners will be held in the barrel-vaulted wine cellar at Miró, the resort’s restaurant. The dinners will be held monthly through March 2003 with a maximum of 30 guests. Each dinner will showcase wines from the Santa Barbara region produced by wineries that are members of the Santa Barbara County Vintners’ Association. Winemakers thus far scheduled to host the dinners include Seth Kunin of Westerly Vineyards; Bion Rice, Sunstone Vineyards and Winery; Andrew Murray, Andrew Murray Vineyards; and Bill Cates and Jeff Fink, Tantara Vineyards and Winery. The first Miró Cellar Winemaker dinner in the series is Nov. 14; future dates will be announced.
