AUSTIN, TX— The new Hilton Austin— which is still under construction, and slated for completion in January 2004— reports that it has been steadily putting business on the books. The hotels new clients include the American Institute of Chemical Engineers; the Texas Municipal league; and the Farm Credit Bank of Texas. The 31-story, 800-room property will sit adjacent to the newly expanded Austin Convention Center, and offer 60,000 square feet of function space, a business center, meetings concierge, an on-site AV center and technicians. Guestrooms, which include 86 concierge-level rooms and 25 suites, offer two phones, voicemail and high-speed Internet access.
