SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL— Atlantica Hotels International, one of South America’s largest hospitality companies, is adding three hotels to its portfolio of operating properties. The hotels are: the 135-room Comfort Suites Flamboyant in Goiânia; the 334-room Quality Suites Long Stay in São Paulo; and the 130-room Comfort Hotel Guarulhos near São Paulo’s Guarulhos International Airport. The new Quality Suites Long Stay opened May 20 and is Atlantica’s first prototype extended-stay hotel. The strategic partner for the project is Cyrela Brasil Realty, a São Paulo-based development company that has worked with Atlantica on numerous projects. The hotel caters to owners of individual units who travel frequently to São Paulo on business, the large market of extended stay corporate travel and the corporate transient traveler. Each unit features a separate bedroom and private living area and office suitable for small meetings. The Comfort Suites Flamboyant opened in late April. It is the second of Atlantica’s new prototype Comfort Suites, and the company’s first new-construction hotel project in western Brazil. Located in Goiânia next to the Flamboyant Mall, the city’s largest shopping area, the hotel offers a full-service restaurant that specifically caters to an international clientele, poolside bar, two conference rooms, a business center, fitness center, swimming pool, sauna, express laundry services and extensive in-room workspace with Broadband Internet connections. The hotel is the city’s first internationally recognized chain property. The Comfort Hotel Guarulhos is the first international economy project located near Guarulhos International Airport, South America’s busiest international airport. Scheduled to open in early June, the Comfort hotel offers a conference room, special events room, business center, fitness center, sauna, restaurant and in-room Internet connections.
