HONG KONG Asia Standard Hotel Group Ltd. fell 1.2% to 17 HK cents after it said it agreed to buy a Hong Kong travel agency from Richard Poon Jing, its chairman and controlling shareholder, for HK$36 million (US$4.6 million). The company said the business of JBC Travel Co. was complementary to its main hotel management business, and Poon guaranteed the agency s profits through March 2003. Shares in Asia Standard Hotel fell 7% yesterday and lost 30% of their value over the past 12 months. (2/9/01) SOURCE:Bloomberg
