HONOLULU, HI—Lite Hotels, a division of Aqua Hospitality focused on economy properties, recently completed a refresh of the Maui Beach Hotel and Kauai Sands Hotel.
The upgrades are part of Aqua’s efforts to revitalize Hawaii tourism with a collective $55 million in enhancement projects across its three hotel brands, according to the company.
Totaling over $1.3 million, the projects at both hotels primarily focused on enhancing the guestroom experience. Guestrooms at both properties now feature beds with premium triple sheeting, bed skirting and a bed scarf. New flat screen televisions were also installed in all guestrooms at Maui Beach Hotel.
At Kauai Sands Hotel, the company added new pool furniture, colorful partitions and exterior paint. The upgrades are a pre-curser to a major renovation planned at the hotel for later in 2013.
