DENVER— Scott Anderson has resigned from his post as president/CEO of SWAN, the vertically integrated “global provider of integrated e-business and management solutions to hotels,” and is launching High Country Hospitality, a hotel management and technology consultancy. The move comes as Swan announces a realignment of its operations, through which it will focus on what it is calling its core competencies: Richfield, its hotel management arm; Sceptre, its reservations distribution company and Shield, its insurance and on-line risk management division. SWAN’s other entities, Source, which provides on-line and off-line procurement, and Solve, which is a software Application Service Provider (ASP), will still provide services to its existing customers and will be available to hotels upon request “as market conditions stabilize and demand for those solutions increases,” said SWAN. Aik Hong Tan will replace Anderson as president of SWAN. “When SWAN brought me on board, I was challenged to launch a new company and grow its Shield, Source and Solve business components,” Anderson said in a statement. “Based on the current refocus of the organization, a mutual decision was made between myself and Vincent Yeo, CEO of City E-Solutions, SWAN’s majority owner, to step down as President and CEO.” Anderson said his new company “helps hoteliers achieve long-term results from short-term assistance with brand repositioning, revenue enhancement, channel management, reservations distribution, Internet utilization, B-2-B and B-2-C consulting and electronic marketing.” Prior to joining SWAN, Anderson was evp/Internet, travel division for the Cendant Internet Group.
