MINNEAPOLIS, MN— AmericInn International LLC, holding its annual convention here, has initiated requests for proposals (RFPs) to convert its current reservations systems to a new central reservations system. “We anticipate that this new service will be in place and replace our existing transfer service by the middle of next year,” said Luke Fowler, AmericInn president/CEO. “We have already begun the vendor research phase of this important project to identify the third-party vendor that will partner with us to provide a cost-effective GDS and Internet reservation service.” Fowler said the process will be “carefully researched” before proceeding. He noted as brand locations continue to increase, “the methods that we use for capturing and converting reservations have been, and will continue to be, enhanced. Since last summer we have added GDS and Internet options that reach out globally to travel agencies and travel networks, such as Expedia.com. We have connectivity to travel wholesalers and online reservations through AmericInn.com and at this time we are testing a new one-way interface that will provide automated inventory control between AmericInn locations and the Spirit reservation system at Lexington.”—Stefani C.
