American Skiing Sells Tahoe Hotel

SOUTH LAKE TAHOE, CA American Skiing, the parent company of Heavenly Ski Resort, is selling its 85% stake in the planned Grand Summit Hotel to Marriott Vacation Club International. Marriott is planning to construct a 192-unit quarter share hotel at the base of Heavenly s new gondola. A merger between American Skiing and MeriStar Hotels & Resorts was recently called off.
