FAIRFIELD, NJ—Guests at luxury hotels have high expectations when it comes to amenities in and out of the guestroom. From the furniture in the lobby and the artwork on the walls, to the casegoods in the sleeping area and bath fixtures in the bathroom, properties spare no expense in an effort to please their customers.
But, the lap of luxury in the bathroom doesn’t stop at the fixtures or even the towels and bathrobes. The products guests use to wash their hands and faces, and to bathe or shower also must meet high standards and expectations.
Essential Amenities, Inc., based here, recently introduced its latest line of bathroom amenities for the luxury traveler—Whytemor & Keach. The assortment of high-quality soaps, shampoos, conditioners, gels and moisturizer products joins seven other collections for the company, which concentrates solely on the hospitality industry.
“Essential Amenities, Inc. utilizes the skills and experience of its in-house staff and partners to design, produce and market a broad range of personal-care products, toiletries and accessories focusing on licensed, branded guestroom amenity collections,” said Michael Ware, owner and CEO of the company, which was established in 1985. “These products are distributed directly to quality hotels, resorts and lodging establishments for the comfort and convenience of their guests. Product, service and customer-client relationships are critical to the success of the company and continues to be what drives its today.”
The other amenity collections created and distributed by Essential Amenities include Hermés Eau d’Orange Verte, Ecru New York, Les Notes de Lanvin Orange Ambre, Joseph Abboud, Poggesi, Dickens & Hawthorne and Exotic Coral.
Ware noted that the Whytemore & Keach collection was designed and developed to include personal-care items with “a fresh floral and dew-drop scents that are reminiscent of a stroll in the English country side,” adding they are “paraben- and cruelty-free and are produced with the environment in mind.”
The 1-oz. liquids in the collection include enriched shampoo, protective conditioner, moisture-rich body lotion and a “silky” lather bath gel. They all come in cylinder bottles that are “sleek and simple,” according to Ware, with a flat black cap and decorative clear labels.
The bar soaps include a 1.5-oz vegetable skin car bar and a 1.5-oz high-lathering bath soap with natural orange peel to help exfoliate the skin, according to Ware.
“Both bar soaps are shaped in a comforting rectangular design and packaged in cartons produced using 30% post-consumer board and printed with soy-based inks,” said Ware.
The collection also includes accessories such as pre-threaded sewing kits, vanity kits, shower caps, shoe mitts and loofah mitts.
Ware said that the Whytemor & Keach collection “will complement and further add to Essential Amenities’ full range of desirable guest amenity collections and will help to enhance a property’s guestroom experience.” While the line is a fit for any property in the luxury segment, Ware pointed out that it is “especially appropriate for independent boutique hotels and bed & breakfast establishments.”
