Alaska National Park Hotel To Close

DENALI NATIONAL PARK & PRESERVE, AK Denali Park Resorts and the National Park Service have announced that this will be the last year of operation for the 103-room Denali National Park Hotel. In September 2001, the only hotel within the six-million-acre park will close to eventually be transformed into The Denali Science and Learning Center. The new learning center will be operated by the National Park Service and will be open to the public. (1/24/01)
