WASHINGTON, DC— The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation (AH&LEF) has awarded $22,000 in total scholarship money to 11 hospitality students participating in the Ecolab Academic Scholarship Program. The AH&LEF-administers the annual academic scholarship competition, which selects recipients based on academic performance, hospitality work experience, a personal essay, and financial need. The Ecolab scholarship program is open to all full-time undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in an accredited college or university, vocational/technical school, or training program with a declared major in hotel, food and beverage, or other hospitality-related program. This years winners of the Ecolab academic scholarships are: Randy Dyer, Johnson & Wales University; Ali Gursoy, Chicago State University; Jennifer Macomber, Johnson & Wales University; Nathaniel Levie, Johnson & Wales University; James Mbugua, California Polytechnic University; Brandon McCann, Appalachian State University; Mark Nelsen, Northern Arizona University; Christopher Potter, University of Houston; Gildardo Reyes, Lynn University; Caitlin Ross, Cornell University; and Jacquelyn Vescio, Niagara University. Ecolab is in its sixth year of supporting AH&LEF scholarship programs.
