WASHINGTON— The American Hotel & Lodging Associations (AH&LA) fifth annual Legislative Action Summit, set for Feb. 26-28 at the Loews LEnfant Plaza Hotel here, will present a strong roster of speakers to include “some of the most influential voices in the nations capital.” Scheduled speakers include: United States Secretary of Labor Elaine L. Chao; Assistant to the President for Legislative Affairs Nicholas E. Calio, President Bushs chief lobbyist; Chief Deputy Whip Rep. Roy Blunt (R-MO); and Deputy Whip Senator Chuck Hagel (R-NE). At the summit, hoteliers from across the country will lobby Congress on issues affecting the lodging industry, meeting face-to-face with their Senators and Representatives. Also scheduled to speak is political journalist Tony Snow, current-events analyst for “FOX News Sunday.”
