WASHINGTON, D.C.— The American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA) has launched a new program for its allied members— the AH&LA “Member-Adopt-a-Member” campaign— to increase lodging property membership and retain hospitality suppliers and vendors as allied members. The membership adoption program allows allied members to sponsor one or more lodging properties for a minimum pledge of $100. This partnership gives AH&LA allied members the opportunity to make a direct connection with properties and allows the association to strengthen its property membership base. Earlier this month, the association announced an allied membership drive allowing hospitality vendors and suppliers that join AH&LA between Memorial Day and Labor Day 2001 to pay only $100 for one year.
