AHG Acquires Miami Beach Hotel

MIAMI BEACH, FL— Allied Hospitality Group (AHG) has added the Sovereign Hotel here as the newest acquisition to the company’s portfolio. Closing on the hotel will take place March 28th. AHG plans to complete approximately $1.3 million in capital improvements to the 107-room independent hotel, which will be transformed into a Marriott Courtyard no later than August 1st. Vic Appleby will serve as the interim general manager as AHG’s initial focus will be on increasing the propertys market share.
