BERLIN Accor SA reported that trading in the first two months of the year was excellent in Europe while the relative outlook in the U.S. remained weaker.
France, Spain, and Italy led gains in Europe, while the Netherlands, weren t so strong, according to Christian Karaoglanian, svp/development. RevPAR in Europe during the first two months of 2001 grew in the double-digits, said Karaoglanian. However, the U.S. and Germany have seen slower RevPAR growth, at around 3-4%. (3/8/01)
