CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA—Accors budget brand, Formule 1, introduced its new “Cocoon” room concept, showcased in hotels here and in Campbelltown and Wentworthville and timed to coincide with Accors 20th anniversary this month.
The Cocoon Room features soft colors, extra storage space, wood-look floors, flat-screen TVs, Internet access and a strong focus on sustainability. The rooms offer water-efficient showers and toilets, energy-efficient lighting and have recyclable materials used throughout.
The Cocoon Room won Best Interior Design at the European Hotels Design Awards.
The rooms will be rolled out to all 20 Formule 1 hotels in Australia over the next few years.
