MIAMI BEACH, FL The Abbey Hotel, in the historic Art Deco District of South Miami Beach, has regained its 1940s-era look following a $3 million, three-year renovation and interior redesign project. The interior design was given a fresh perspective by New York interior designer Harry Schnaper. The guestrooms and suites have been redesigned for urban comfort in an authentic Art Deco style, sleek and chic yet with warmer tones and playful fabrics reminiscent of the 40s. (1/17/01)
