ATLANTIC CITY, NJ There was little evidence of an economic slowdown within the ranks of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) this past year.

More than 1,100 delegates and guests at the 2001 AAHOA annual convention, currently underway here, heard Treasurer Hitesh Bhakta report that the association s net balance stood at $2,529,700 as of December 31, 2000 with $1,863,568 of that asset total being cash. Additionally, Bhakta took the early morning opportunity to note the receipt of several other donations and investments by industry (and related) companies, amounting to some $400,000 more promised/delivered to AAHOA.
