ATLANTIC CITY, NJ The Women s Conference on the opening day of this year s annual convention of the Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA), being held March 8-10, featured current Miss Universe Lara Dutta, who took part in the official proceedings.
Ms. Dutta, the former Miss India, joined a high-powered panel one that included Indian Parliament member and international film star Shabana Azmi in a discussion of women s rights, empowerment, and their place in the lodging industry. (3/8/01) Michael Billig
