ATLANTA The Asian American Hotel Owners Association (AAHOA) is donating $25,001 to assist with relief programs for victims of last Friday s massive earthquake in India. In keeping with an Indian custom, the donation is not an even amount in order to bring luck. “Most of our members are from the Gujarat region that was hardest hit by the quake,” said AAHOA Chairman Bakulesh “Buggsi” Patel. “They have relatives and friends in the area, so it s most appropriate for our association to support the important disaster relief work being done by the BAOS Earthquake Relief Fund.” AAHOA has almost 7,500 members who together own more than 18,000 hotel properties in the United States.
