Town and Country Hotel in San Diego to Debut Updates this Summer
Town and Country, a landmark property in San Diego for more than 60 years, will be debuting its renovation later this summer. The property’s multimillion-dollar renovation will cue all eras of the hotel’s history throughout its new midcentury-modern designed spaces and evoke a casual California aesthetic that draws and inspires visitors of all ages and locals to create memories and make connections with each other, San Diego and the past. The update will include a new pool complex, including a zero-entry pool, children’s pool and waterslide; three new and renovated room towers, for a total of 675 rooms, featuring balconies overlooking San Diego or the resort; three new restaurants; three-acre open-air activities lawn along the San Diego River; and refreshed meeting spaces throughout its convention center with social distancing and new protocols in place.
Quality Inn & Suites Garden of the Gods Completes Renovation in Colorado Springs
Quality Inn & Suites Garden of the Gods in Colorado Springs, CO, has completed a renovation of its 124 guestrooms, including newly remodeled bathrooms as well as new paint, furniture and fixtures. Since 2016, San Diego-based RAR Hospitality has been managing the branded hotel—including its renovation—and in February of this year, Chicago-based hotel management company Hostmark Hospitality Group assumed RAR’s hotel collection including Quality Inn & Suites Garden of the Gods, managing the completion of the renovation. The hotel is set to complete the renovation this month.
Monteverdi Tuscany Reveals Expansion Plan and Reopening Date
Luxury boutique hotel Monteverdi Tuscany and its owner/founder, Michael Cioffi, has teamed up with Rome-based designer, Ilaria Miani, to expand upon and enhance the village of Castiglioncello del Trinoro. A proposed one-year construction plan will begin on June 1, 2020, and will result in the addition of the Monteverdi Regenerative Clinic; an expansion of the spa at Monteverdi; construction of a new, casual restaurant to complement the fine dining restaurant, Oreade, and The Enoteca; a retreat and meeting center to be used for corporate and wellness events; four new luxury view suites; and a playground for children. Construction will also address infrastructure and staff accommodations. In order to complete the construction as efficiently as possible, the hotel will not accept guests until July 1, 2021.
