ATLANTA— Six Continents Hotels announced that now its key Global Sales clients will be able to take advantage of rate discounts for individual business travel at all Six Continents Hotels properties, which include InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express and Staybridge Suites hotels. Expanding the Corporate Gold Program to include all hotel properties worldwide “is a way for us to show our clients how much we value and appreciate their loyalty, and it allows our clients to experience the full-range of our hotel offerings anytime and anywhere in the world,” said Mike Fegley, vp/global sales at 6C. In other news, Six Continents named Robert Mayer vp/franchise sales for Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts, North America. He will report directly to Kirk Kinsell, senior vp/Americas Franchising. Most recently, Mayer served as vp/marketing at Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts. Also, prior to joining Six Continents in1998, Mayer was vp/marketing for Madison Square Garden. Separately, Six Continents announced that Doug Lewis, executive vp/CIO, has been recognized by IDGs Computerworld, a weekly newspaper, as one of the business worlds Premier 100 IT Leaders. The award honors individuals who have creatively applied technology to execute their organizations business strategies. Lewis will be honored at the Computerworld Premier 100 IT Leaders Conference on Feb. 23-25, 2003, at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Scottsdale, AZ.
